I have the most disturbing news. An email is circulating around the school informing of a first year engineering student being diagnosed with meningococcal disease. I have not the slightest idea as to what this means or how deadly it could be, but because there is still a chance of infection, I read the rest of the email with much care.
It went on to list the symptoms one might display upon infection. They are:
* Headache
* Fever
* Vomiting
* Neck stiffness
* Joint pains
* Drowsiness or confusion
* Rash or reddish purple spots or bruises
* Discomfort when looking at bright lights
* Collapse
I experienced 4 out of the 9 mentioned. What does this meeean?????
